How To Switch Your Beachbody Coach

One of the Great benefits of becoming a beachbody coach is that we are able to connect with Beachbody Customers.
Once you purchase something from the infomercial giant, you willl automatically be assigned you very own beachbody coach.

However, there may come a time where you feel you have a connection with another coach, or just want to work with someone other than the coach you were assigned and this article will show you how simple it is to switch out your coach.

Now, let me be clear, I am not in the business of taking customers away from their assigned coaches, however, I do believe that the connection you have with your coach will help you make your fitness journey, using the beachbody products, go alot more smoothly.

So that being said, to change your coach or assign me as your coach, all you need to do is send Beachbody a quick email letting them know that you want to assign yourself a new coach.

Can Power 90 Improve Your Sex Life?

I know I know, you are probably Shocked that I’m even writing about this! But I’m about to go where I know many of you are thinking about, but too embarassed to talk about publicly so without divulging too much information into the happenings in my boudoir, I feel that there are many of you that will find this article extremely helpful.

I’ve had women privately contact me asking me questions about this topic because obviously, it’s become a problem.

It’s a problem I can definitely relate to, so hopefully this article will motivate you even more to start your Power 90 Journey. Your marriage or relationship just may depend on it.

So the question of the hour is: Can Power 90 Improve your Sex Life?

Well let’s first assume that you are in my starting weight area, which was around 225.

At that weight I was uncomfortable.

I felt disgusted.

I was constantly worrying about any little pain or wierd feeling I thought I was experiencing.

I was winded going up the stairs.

I had to purchase those big fat orthopedic looking shoes just to walk a few blocks.

I was wearing my ‘fat uniform’ wherever I went which consisted of the same ugly pair of jeans and a shirt that covered my arms.

Ahhhh, the picture of a Sex Goddess eh??

You can imagine that feeling this way, along with experiencing the first symptoms of going into your 40′s, I was not in the mood.

Yes I would occasionally ‘do the deed’ (my poor husband) to please him, but I was not happy with myself.

My husband has always been the type to love me no matter if I was Green, purple, fat or polka dotted, but believe me ladies, your husband has needs, and if you want to save your marriage or ignite the romance in your marriage, your husband, if he is anything like mine, DESERVES that you do something about your weight.

And there are men out there that WILL Stray if you are not fulfulling him in the boudoir.

Your weight is not just a YOU issue, it affects everyone around you.

So you’re hearing it from me first…

Continuing to remain overweight is an Act of SELFISHNESS…

You can continue to LIE to yourself and say that everything is ok and that you are fine with being fat, but the relationship with your MAN, Husband, Boyfriend, Lover or otherwise is more important than the dysfunctional relationship you are having with your food. (I’ll get off my soapbox for now.)

It’s upsetting because I’m Blessed to have a wonderful husband who doesn’t demand much from me and I was letting him down for months (in my mind).

Had I been in any other relationship, I would have been divorced by now.

But I digress.

So In comes the decision to start Power 90.

You’ve got to realize that once you decide to get Active and start moving and excercising, you are now providing your entire body with Fresh Delicious Oxygen that is pumping through your Blood.

You begin to release endorphins that make you feel incredible and it begins to increase your energy levels.

How eating fat will help you lose fat.

The 5 Best Fats for Getting Lean

You might think that to lose weight, you need to cut the fat out of your meals. After all, fat is higher in calories than protein and carbs, and low-fat diets have been popular since the Senate Nutrition Committee first recommended them in the late 1970s. But research shows that a moderate-fat diet (with about 35 percent of calories consumed coming from fat) will help you drop pounds permanently, feel full longer, and avoid bingeing. The trick is to eat the right kind of fat to increase satisfaction and boost weight loss. Here’s why it’s important to eat fat—and we offer five of the best fat sources to add to your diet.

How eating fat will help you lose fat.

In 2008, researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel found that people who followed low-fat diets lost less weight than people who followed low-carb or moderate-fat diets. The low-fat group lost an average of 6.5 pounds over 2 years, but the low-carb and moderate-fat groups lost about 10 pounds. Women did especially well on the moderate-fat diet, losing an average of 13 pounds during the study.

Fat is an important element in weight loss for several reasons:

  • Fat helps your body control blood sugar and insulin spikes after eating carbohydrates. Better sugar metabolism means less fat storage.
  • Fat slows down digestion and aids nutrient absorption. You’ll stay fuller longer and get more health benefits from the food you eat.
  • Essential fatty acids (like omega-3s) may boost your metabolic rate and increase fat burning.
  • Fat tastes good. It also provides a “mouthfeel” that is satisfying, which can help you be happy with less food.

Eating more fat may also help you stick to your diet longer. In a study conducted by Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, participants got either 20 percent of their calories from fat or 35 percent of their calories from fat. After 6 months, both groups had lost weight. But after 18 months, only 20 percent of the people in the low-fat group were still following the diet, compared with 54 percent of the people in the moderate-fat group. Likewise, the subjects in the moderate-fat group had maintained their weight loss, while the low-fat group participants had gained most of the weight back.

If you reach for a box of low-fat or fat-free crackers or cookies because you want to lose weight, you may actually be sabotaging your diet. Manufacturers frequently replace fat with sugar in packaged food items to make them taste better. You think you’re making a good decision by eating fat-free products, but the excess sugar and refined flour can lead to fatigue, cravings, mood swings, and weight gain caused by the overproduction of insulin—the fat-storage hormone. As a snack, a sliced apple with some peanut butter or a salad with oil and vinegar dressing would be a better weight loss choice. The complex carbs and healthy fats will maintain your blood sugar levels, boost your energy, and keep you satisfied longer.

What kind of fat should you eat?
 To get lean, you need to eat the right kind of fat. Avoid saturated and trans fats (which are found in red meat, full-fat dairy products, and many packaged foods), and instead choose monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Here are some of the best sources of fat to help you reach your weight goal.
    Core Omega-3™Fish. Fish like salmon, albacore tuna, herring, mackerel, and sardines contains beneficial amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. Most experts agree that eating two servings of fatty fish per week is safe for people who are worried about mercury or other toxins. (Pregnant women should consult with their doctors about consuming fish.) If you don’t like fish, a quality supplement like Beachbody’s Core Omega-3™ will give you the benefits without the fishy taste.
    Olive oil. Heart-healthy oils like olive, canola, and peanut oil are excellent sources of fat for dieters.
    They have also been shown to lower bad cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. Use them sparingly when sautéing, or drizzle them over your favorite salad or vegetables with a little vinegar and some herbs to maximize the absorption of nutrients.
    Moderation is important: You really only need about a teaspoon of oil to get all its benefits. Using more will add significant calories.
    Avocados. Eat a spinach and carrot salad with a little avocado, and you’ll not only get a dose of good fat, but you’ll also absorb more phytonutrients like lutein and beta-carotene. Scientists at Ohio State University in Columbus found that more antioxidants were absorbed when people ate a salad containing avocados than when they ate a salad without this tasty fruit. One-quarter of an avocado will add flavor while only adding about 75 calories.
    Nuts. Almonds, walnuts, pecans, and peanuts are powerhouses of good nutrition—full of antioxidants, minerals, and monounsaturated fat. The Nurses Health Study, where more than 86,000 nurses were followed for 14 years, found that those who ate nuts regularly (about an ounce per day) tended to weigh less than those who didn’t. The protein, fat, and fiber make nuts more filling, which helps dieters stay on track. Plus there’s a psychological bonus to eating nuts: Because they’re rich and satisfying, you probably won’t feel like you’re on a diet.
    Flaxseeds. Packing the triple wallop of fat, protein, and fiber, flaxseeds are a delicious and healthful addition to any diet. You can grind them up and add them to oatmeal, yogurt, salads, or vegetables, or pretty much anywhere you want a nutty crunch. They’re a plant source of omega-3 fatty acids, making them a good choice for vegetarians or the aforementioned non-fish-loving folks. Ground flaxseeds also have 3 grams of fiber per tablespoon, which helps slow digestion and keep your blood sugar stable.

Making room for fat.

Certain fats might be considered necessary for health, but that’s not a cue to overindulge. At 9 calories per gram, fat is a more concentrated energy source than either protein or carbohydrates (each has 4 calories per gram). You need to be mindful of your overall caloric intake if you want to eat more fat and lose weight. But when you feel full and satisfied after eating the right kinds of fat, you’ll probably find it a bit easier to manage your calories.

“When your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme.”

Being a Teambeachbody Coach has brought many blessings that I could have never imagined would come to fruition.

First and foremost, it has been my #1 Accountability method to staying true to myself and others, and following through with my health & fitness programs.

I believe, without a shadow of a doubt, had it not been for my decision to become a beachbody coach, I wouldn’t have fully commited to losing the 25 lbs I have to date.

Many other blessings have also appeared in my life, in the form of new friends, new colleagues, like minded friends who are also coaches, and of course, my amazing customers who, through my example, strength and their own determination, are also on the path to Fitness and good health.

But if you had told me, that on March 15th, 2 days before my 39th birthday, the following sequence of events was about to occur, I simply would not have believed you!

The story begins when I completed my first round of Power 90, on March 13th. Timing couldn’t have been more perfect as we had planned a 1 week vacation to Disneyworld in Orlando Florida because we had taken advantage of the ‘Florida Residents’ Special that made the deal too good to pass up.

So on March 14th we were to get on the road so that we can head up to Mickeyland, the land of 10,000 Wishes, the Magical Place where Dreams Come True!

But before I packed the final bags, I made sure to make a quick Power 90, 90 Day Results, Before and After Video and I proceeded to share it on my facebook wall, with friends and I even uploaded it to Youtube.

I thought nothing more about it.

After a long 4 hour drive, we arrived to Orlando, and we were shocked to find out that we were smack dead in the middle of Spring Break! (Note To Self, Are you CRAZY for not double checking this tiny critical detail??) UGH!

But since we were already there, we decided to make the best of it.

My husband and I decided we would attempt to go to Animal Kingdom to see how the crowds were, and agreed that if it was too packed, we would just turn around and come home, and go back in the beginning of April, as the tickets expire at the end of May.

So we round up the kids on the Morning of March 15th and headed on out to Animal Kingdom.

Of course, I have My iPhone with me because, as the American Express commercial so famously has engrained in our heads, I never leave home without it! My dream has been to have a completely Mobile Business, so taking my iPhone with me would test to see if this dream could actually become a reality.

We got to the park, and as beautiful as it was, lush with green landscaping and the gorgeous view of the Mount Everest  Mountain, peaking out in the distance, there was a sea of heads for what seemed to be miles and wait lines over 65 Minutes long.

My husband and I looked at each other and said ‘We are out of here!’…

So after only a couple of hours at the park, we grabbed the kids and agreed that we would just go back to the hotel and hang out at the room.

And then, it began.

My iPhone, which I leave on Vibration Mode, began to go Crazy.

It was Buzz, after Buzz, after Buzz…

Which means that Email Notifications are coming in.

This Morning they seemed to be flooding in!

I wondered what in the world was going on!!

So I check my email and I have 30 pending Friend requests on Facebook!

What in the World is going on, I scratched my head, completely puzzled!

So now I’m beginning to really get antsy, wondering what is causing the flurry of messages and friend requests that are just completely out of the norm!

I catch a glimpse of a facebook friend’s email saying something about being featured on P90X’s Wall!

WHAT???

How can that be?

I just finished Power 90?

So stumbling through my iPhone facebook app, which does not give me the full picture, I proceeded to scramble to my Status and asked for someone to please post a link on my wall because I couldn’t find P90X Facebook Fan Page on my iPhone Anywhere! (Note to Self: YES you CAN have a Mobile Business, but you must get with the Program and get to know your iPhone Functions better you silly iPhone technically challenged person you!)

So Finally, since I couldn’t see it, I called my best friend and Coach Lisa Torres in New York, to send me the link directly to the Feature on P90X’s Facebook Fanpage.

Finally, I was able to see that Indeed, P90X had featured my Power 90 Story on their Facebook Fanpage! With over 312,000 Fans, you can imagine that this was a tremendous Honor!

There it was!

The Video that I had put together before I left on the trip to Orlando.

Just a wee bit exposure to my story that I was hoping would someday happen so that I could inspire others to have the courage, to put their foot down and begin their own health & Fitness Journey.

And to think that P90X thought my story was inspirational enough to feature, was simply Amazing!

See, only 4 Months ago, I was struggling with a Walk-at-home Program because I was at 225. And I became a beachbody coach, with all my obesity and all my fatness, and I decided that I would use my story and my journey to help those who were sick and tired like I was, of being sick and tired and making excuses.

I decided that I would take my situation and make the best out of it.

I decided that instead of being a victim, I would show people that they could be Victorious.

I replaced I Can’t (because I’m too fat, or no one would listen to me) to I CAN, and I WILL!

I DECIDED that not only would I reach my Goals, but that I would bust through the invisible barriers most people place upon themselves.

I proved that an Obese Coach not only could Be Successful, but could also Win Contests.

I did so by Winning the Insanity Asylum DVD by being 1 point shy from Success Club 10 in February.

And again, I broke the stereotype when I advanced Rank to Ruby on The Day of My Birthday, March 17th!

Now I’m not sharing these accomplishments to Gloat or to Show-off.

I’m sharing them because I believe that my story will help pave the way for those who didn’t think they could do it, but I proved time and again, that it CAN be done.

Success in this business comes from HEART, PASSION, COMMITMENT and DEDICATION which is the exact same force that will help you achieve your goals with whatever fitness program you choose.

The only things that can bring you down, are the words and ideas that you create for yourself.

So I challenge you, no matter what size you are, no matter what program you are on, and no matter what experience level you are Currently at…

Speak only of what YOU CAN Do…

And Decide that you too will pave the way for others to follow… and pass that torch!

P90X Etreme Training System

Are you Ready for the P90X Extreme Training System?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or don’t watch much late night Television, chances are you’ve heard
of the infamous Extreme Home Fitness Workout System: P90X.

P90X is touted as one of the most extreme fitness programs designed for home users in existence. The predecessor to P90X was Power 90, which is the program I completed twice in my lifetime so far. In 2001, I lost 55 lbs with the Power 90 System when P90X was still in development.

Once again in 2010 I found myself severely overweight at 225 and again turned to the program I had success with almost 10 years ago, Power 90. This time I lost 25 lbs and still have about 50 more to go, so I had to decide which program to go with next, and that program was P90X.

If you are above 200lbs and have not worked out for a while, then I recommend that you start out with P90 (Power 90) first to get accustomed to working out 6 days a week and to basically use it as your transitional period to prepare yourself for what is to come with P90X.

The P90X Extreme Training System is Power 90 on Steroids, featuring much more intensity and it without a doubt, tests your endurance as most of the workouts are an average of 55 Minutes, some a little more, Yoga X is 92 Minutes!

This Extreme Training System definitely delivers if you are looking to truly challenge yourself and take yourself both mentally and physically to the next level. P90X is definitely Not For Wimps!

The P90X Workout System consists of 12 DVD’s.

They are as follows:
01- Chest & Back
02- Plyometrics (one of my favorites)
03- Shoulders & Arms
04-Yoga X
05- Legs & Back
06- Kenpo X (Another one of my Faves)
07- X Stretch
08- Core Synergistics
09- Chest, SHoulders & Triceps
10- Back & Biceps
11- Cardio X
12- Ab Ripper X

There are 3 ways to do P90X and based on your fitness level, what your goals are, and what kind of time commitment you have, you can choose between the Classic, Doubles or Lean.

  • Classic is simply using all 12 DVD’s in a Scheduled Format.
  • Doubles adds a 2nd workout , typically cardio in the form of Cardio X for a total of 2 workouts a day in certain weeks of the Doubles Programs… and the
  • LEAN Version concentrates more on Cardio, for females who are afraid to bulk up and prefer to lean out.

As much as I feared tackling this Extreme Training System, as I have tested some of the DVD’s I have found myself thoroughly enjoying the Challenge so far.

I do find myself pretty fatigued at the end of my workout in the sense that I can tell my body needs a recovery drink because I’m working out twice as hard than I did with Power 90, and Beachbody has formulated a recovery drink specifically for people using the P90X Extreme Training System. 

 I can definitely see how I will achieve the body I am looking for by committing to both the Nutritional Plan and the P90X Extreme Training System.

The P90X Extreme Training System is definitely for you if you have already graduated succesfully from Power 90 or are in pretty good physically fit condition.

There is a Fit Test included just in case you have any doubts whether you can complete it or not.

I currently weigh in at 200 lbs ( I lost 25 lbs on Power 90) and have no problems with my joints, knees or back so I can maneuver through most of the workouts with some modifications.

This is the position I held for approximately 12 weeks, and it took me 30 days to get there after I decided to get serious about being a beachbody coach. As an Emerald, which is still considered a ‘developmental rank’ because you are still developing your leadership skills, you receive many new benefits including, getting free customer leads placed into your back office, (if you meet certain qualifications, including being a club member, logging in 8 workouts into Wowy’s back office and making sure that your business fees of $14.95 per month are up to date and that you are active on atleast 50 PV or more).

In addition to these benefits, you also begin to earn cycle bonuses, based on your overall team’s volume and
you earn $14.00 each time you cycle. This can add up quickly if your organization begins to build volume. This
is where most of the leverage in your business is enjoyed because you are earning royalties from the efforts
of your overall team!

Being an Emerald is definitely the first place you want to to get to.

However, as nice as Emerald is, Ruby gets much nicer!

What is a Ruby Beachbody Coach?

A Ruby Coach – is Active, has a minimum of 75 PV, and has one (1) personally sponsored Active Emerald
Coach (or higher) on each of his right and left legs, plus one (1) additional Active Coach on each of his left
and right legs.

you now cycle at $16.00 which can be a significant difference as your teams volume continues to
grow. Not only do you get a $2.00 payraise on your cycle bonuses, but you also begin receiving 5%
matching bonuses from your personally sponsored Coaches.

Now I ask you, what job on the planet will give you a $2.00 Payraise in only 3 Months?

The Next Stop is Diamond where we receive yet another $2.00 raise, as cycle bonuses are
increased to $18.00 and Matching bonuses increase to 10%.

How do you Become a Ruby Coach

Becoming a Ruby Coach is a bit tricky because advancing rank begins to depend directly on
the advancement of your personal recruits.

You must have an Active Emerald on your Right Leg and an Active Emerald on your Left Leg.

The challenge that most people face is that, even though they are a good personal recruiter,
ultimately you cannot control what your team does and you do not know who is going to
advance rank to Emerald, so it’s a bit more challenging to get to Ruby. You Must begin flexing your Leadership Muscles to get to Ruby, because you must get in there and start helping your team build their businesses.

So How Did I Do It?

I’d love to tell you that I waived a magic wand and 2 of my coaches magically became
Emeralds and everyone lived happily ever after, but it’s a little more complicated than that.

All I can say is that I am a stickler for sharing information and obsessed with supporting
the coaches on my team that have the desire to move forward in their businesses.

I must speak to some of my coaches 2-3 times a week, some even on an almost daily basis.

We share what is working.

We adhere to the Gameplan as closely as possible, and as a Successful Beachbody Coach must
be… I lead my business with heart & Passion for what I’m doing.  Simply Put, I LOVE What I do.

As sappy as that sounds, I always make sure that my team knows that I am here to support them,
and I share freely. Along with my leaders, we hold webinars and events that other coaches can
leverage so that they have the opportunity to attract customers and leads into their businesses as well.

I fully believe that my prosperity helps my team prosper, as their prosperity prospers me and it’s a
symbiotic relationship which I take very seriously.

Other than that, there is no ‘magical’ trick on becoming a Ruby.

Love what you do, Love your team and in time, your business will love you back!
